Tetine will be performing in Plymouth, UK on 24 March 2007
at Mikroparty, part of Social Hacking series of events.

Tetine will perform songs from L.I.C.K MY FAVELA (Slum Dunk Music) and Bonde do Tetão (Bizarre Music) followed by an exclusive DJ set of Funk Carioca. Expect a sweaty live set of dirty and fresh booty-shaking electro-rap meets baile funk beats sung in clear and loud Portuguese and English. We call it Punk Carioca!

Tetine are Bruno Verner and Eliete Mejorado. They met in 1995 in Sao Paulo - Brazil through the emerging experimental music/art scene of the city's East Zone. Since then Tetine have created a multitude of sound works from film soundtracks to sexually-charged electro-rap, baile funk party tunes.

The duo has been releasing their own music through diverse record labels and collaborating with artists, producers and MCs from different areas and backgrounds such as French artist Sophie Calle (Tetine vs Sophie Calle, Sulphur Rec 2002) and Baile Funk diva MC Deize Tigrona (I Go To The Doctor 2005) amongst others.

In 2000 they relocated to London from Sao Paulo where they've been playing, working and living since then. Tetine were responsible for last year's acclaimed record The Sexual Life of The Savages (Soul Jazz Records) - an album about the lost history of So Paulo's underground No wave/Post Punk scene from the early 80's. Also, Tetine mixed and conceived the record FUNK CARIOCA (Mr Bongo 2004) - a mixtape on the Baile Funk scene from Rio's favelas after running for three years the pioneering radio show Slum Dunk on Resonance FM 104.4 - dedicated to electronic music produced in the shanty towns of Rio.

Tetine's new album is called L.I.C.K MY FAVELA and it is a limited edition produced to mark the first release of Slum Dunk Music.

Tetine have played a wide range of clubs, festivals, art galleries and special events including appearances at Ether 06 (UK), Barbican's Tropicalia (UK), Sonar Sound, Museum of Contemporary Art Serralves (PT), Resfest, Emo-son (Fr), Cargo (UK) Rhythm Factory (UK), Le Pulp (Paris), Whitechapel Art Gallery (UK), Nublu (NYC), Sonotheque (Chicago), WMC (Berlin), Spitz (UK), 93 Feet East (UK), Public Life (UK), Guanabara (UK), Notte Vidal (Italy), Goethe Institute (Munich), Ampgalax (Br), amongst many others.
