Olga Goriunova

biography

Olga Goriunova is a co-founder (with Alexei Shulgin) of the Read_Me software art festival series (Moscow 2002, Helsinki 2003, Aarhus 2004), co-organiser of the Runme.org software art repository and author of ‘Suicide Letter Wizard for Microsoft Word’(http://dxlab.org/slw). She is also a Doctorate candidate in the Media Lab, University of Arts and Design, Helsinki, where she is researching software art, online platforms and cultural production. Previosuly she taught at Pro Arte Institute (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), 2000-2001, Center for Contemporary Art (Almaty, Kazakhstan), 2001 and elsewhere. She studied literary criticism and linguistics and received a MA from the Department of Philology of Moscow State University in 1999.

Alexei Shulgin is an artist, theorist, musician, curator and photographer. He initiated Form Art (http://www.c3.hu/collection/form), is a web-master at FU-FME (http://www.fu-fme.com/) and a leader of the world’s first cyberpunk rock band 386 DX (http://www.easylife.org/386dx). He is also co-organiser of the Runme.org software art repository (http://runme.org) and a co-curator (with Olga Goriunova) of the Read_Me software art festivals (http://readme.runme.org).
