About KURATOR

KURATOR is a curatorial research platform at the intersection of art and technology.
It has a particular interest in an emerging discourse and practice that links curating with programming, software and networks.

KURATOR’s core activities include:

→ research (in partnership with the Art and Social Technologies research group, part of AZTEC (Art Science Technology Research Consortium), University of Plymouth, UK
→ publishing (in partnership with the DATA browser book series)
→ public events (for instance, the series of public art commissions Social Hacking, large scale exhibition After The Net, as part of Observatori 2008 Valencia)
→ software development of online curatorial platforms (for instance openKURATOR, kurator software)
→ professional development (such as the Curatorial Network, with Arts Council England, UK)
→ online resources and hosting (http://platforma.kurator.org)
